About Me

While I graduated with a business management degree and am pursuing a career in retail management, I have a very wide variety of interests outside of these areas.  I participate in organizations and programs that help both the community and my growth as an individual.

At Penn State, I'm a brother of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.  Phi Sigma Pi stresses three ideals: scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. Through this organization and by serving on its executive board, I've been able to help the local community, take leadership positions, and become involved with campus related activities such as the Homecoming Parade and Penn State's Dance MaraTHON.

I'm also an avid volunteer for the American Cancer Society.  I've been participating in the Relay For Life for 10 years and have earned awards for both fundraising and spirit.  I served on several committees: local, regional, and statewide.  These committees allowed me to teach other volunteers about Relay and the goals of the organization.  In partnership with the ACS, I've been able to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients in my community and everywhere.

I compete regularly in scholarship pageants sponsored by the Miss America Organization.  I have met many bright young women through this program and have made friends with other contestants.  The Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization has given me opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others through my cancer advocacy, dedication to the community, and fundraising for the Children's Miracle Network. They've even provided me with unique opportunities to utilize my sewing skills to help those in need!

Other interests of mine include sewing, carpentry, dancing, singing, playing the guitar, and sports.  The pictures displayed on this page demonstrate my fanaticism for the New York sports teams and my love of performing.  Though not depicted, I also like to build furniture with my personal set of power tools and design and create evening gowns and clothing.  Some people might call me unique, and I like to think that too.  I'm never afraid to try new things, and I always invite a challenge.
